General Terms & Conditions
- The ticket charge is for the full journey of the bus, regardless of where you board and get off.
- All timing shown on the ticket, website, and the mobile App is indicative, and the actual arrival, drop-off times, and the duration of the journey may differ from timings given here.
- Bus fares are regulated by Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL) through National Transport Commission (NTC). If there is a price revision by GOSL after reserving a seat and prior to departure, you would be required to pay the price increase before boarding the bus. In the event of a downward price revision, you will get a refund for the difference.
- In case of bus breakdowns prior to departure, we will strive to find a replacement bus that will leave at the scheduled time.
- In case of a breakdown in the middle of a journey, the relevant bus owner will be responsible for providing alternative buses and refunds where applicable.
- In the event of a change in the scheduled bus or in the case of a replacement bus being made available due to a breakdown, the seat arrangement may change, and you will be allocated a different seat.
- In the unlikely event where we fail to provide you with an alternative bus in case of breakdowns, we will make a full refund that will include the bus fare and the convenience fee. However, the transaction fee charged by the payment gateway providers/banks will not be refunded.
- A customer can cancel a ticket at his/her discretion 12 hours before the departure time of the bus. There will be a charge of 15% of the bus fare for each cancellation together with the convenience fee and the transaction cost. Ex- If the bus fare is Rs.1500, Convenience fee is Rs.82.50 and the Transaction cost is Rs.22.50 and if the seat is cancelled prior to 12 hours of the departure time, you will be charged Rs.330 (225+82.50+22.50) and the balance Rs.1170 will be deposited to your account within 5 working days.
- Once a ticket is cancelled, the ticket will also be invalid, and the bus conductor or driver has the right to refuse you from boarding the bus.
- Passengers should arrive at the bus halt 30 minutes before the arrival time of the bus.
- In the case of Passengers boarding a bus from the main starting point of the bus, passengers should board and occupy the reserved seat 15 minutes before the departure time.
- Passengers who have reserved their seats through the online platform, Mobile App, or through the 1316 call center can change their travel date by calling 1316 twelve hours prior to the starting time of the bus.
- The ticket is issued to the person whose NIC/DL/Passport number is given in the ticket. Should you give the ticket to a third party and if there are more than one claiming the same ticket, the person whose NIC/DL/Passport number in the ticket will be given the seat.
- Eseat, eseat.lk, or Hands global Holdings (Pvt) Limited or any related company will not be responsible for the quality of the bus, the quality of the journey, safety of passengers, or the timings of the bus.
- You should only sit in the seat indicated on your ticket, and all buses have their seats numbered.
